GENERATIONS OF EXCEPTIONAL BREEDING
The Dewar Family of Guilderton, Western Australia purchased the stud in December 2020 from Jim and Pam McGregor of Kojonup. Jim and Pam began their Ardcairnie Angus stud journey in 1985. The Dewar's purchased the entire female herd with followers plus the stud bulls leaving Jim and Pam the Q bulls to conduct their final sale in February 2021. The following year saw stud principal Joe Dewar conduct the first sale as new owner at Gingin Saleyard Complex. The 2022 sale had 62 registered bulls penned, of which two sold for equal top price, $17,500. The Dewar's welcomed return clients of Jim and Pam and new clients.
At Ardcairnie Angus, we’re invested in continuing the McGregors philosophy of presenting animals in working condition to increase their chance of a long and fertile life. We have been breeding cattle since the 1800's and believe the female herd to be the backbone of a successful operation.
As long-time commercial cattle breeders, purchasing Ardcairnie Angus Stud was a good opportunity to continue to breed high quality cattle.
